I don't know what has happened. I've been going to mood over 20 years. The service is horrible, the prices are horrendous. They use to be the go to for fabrics and customer service. I'm not sure if they were taken over? Or just going downhill. Lucky there are a few old-timers who keep it worth coming back. The service is like your ruining their day or such a burden on their lives. The lady at the front desk is such a b!t*h. I'm sorry but I've spending 400 dollars but I can't get a smile? Or atleast a "thanks for coming by" ? Quit if it's such a drag! If you have to go, just be weiry of the service and quality. It's going downhill.

I was very impressed with the selection of fabrics in the store. Also the people were very nice and helpful. A special thanks to the two girls who helped me find a fitting lining fabric. If I will ever be back in New York I will definitely go back there.

Customer Service is absolutely terrible, when you ask for help, nobody is available to help. Doesn’t matter about this Moodfabric had been a hit for Project Runway show or not, the people - who works there were nobody, they’re not celebrities . So please treat your customer better.

I shop at the store every week and the management is horrible. The guy Robert is helpless, the fabric says $31 they argued that it was $37, showed him a photo that the fabric was cut shorter than asked for and paid- total ignore. I wish I never dealt with these people- greedy and rude.

Yes, they are well stocked with a variety of fabrics.
Definately call. They have a large selection. I was just there last week. I put a picture up for you to see of some of the colors I saw. I think they had a lot more back there that were more like pelts. Real and fake. It is an amazing place and everyone there is super helpful. I wish I could sew! If I lived in NYC, I would so take their sewing classes.
Yesssss! So exciting! Thank you, and say hello to swatch for me please. Enjoy your day.
Hello Irena. Yes the New York store will be open. We look foward in seeing you.
It is a strict practice. It was crowded when I was there. I felt good about what Mood is doing to protect their employees and customers.
Hello. Unfortunately we are waiting for the city to let us open.
These are questions ABOUT Mood, not FOR Mood. Your best bet is to call them for that one.
I saw needles. Not sure about teflon ones
I don't know if they do or not
Depends on how big the coat is. However many yards of fabric you needed for the coat itself, that's how much you may need for a fur lining, minus some yardage for things like pockets.
There is an elevator to the store on the 3rd floor. But then only stairs inside the store and no there are no carts. Good luck!
All of the sales people and staff are very into the industry and can probably recommend seamstresses and tailors. Like everyone else said it is a fabric store, but one where the people are dedicated to helping the shoppers.
Sure you have. And if not some similar
In this fabric store there are all kinds of fabrics. It will surprise you!
They sell fur and leather by the pelt.
Personally didn't see it
And there are several accessory stores nearby with huge selections.
They have a lot of variety.. Dont be shy.
Absolutely! Mood staff is very knowledgeable and you will get whatever assistance you need.
Go online They have a website.
Try Fabric-Fabric. They are in Manhattan too. Have fun. 😁
Have someone make the gown for you. Where are you located?
Yes
Best way is to show up and have them set up a on line accountant with you
The best way to get that answer is to call them
It's right next door. They might share the same address but the upholstery one is on the left side of the fabric one and has its own entrance. You can't miss it
You need to ask the store
Not, sure. I would assume not, yet please call to confirm. Good luck
Hi they carry many type of fabrics, you should call them.
Half or more in NY, speak Spanish
Call the store
Many patterns in many materials. Phenomenal selection.
Most "netting" is a stiff, polyester fabric so that wouldn't be good for a scarf. The assistants can help you, the selection is so huge something else might work for what you want.
No. Downtown L.A. and downtown NYC. Great mail order service
Swatch is it's name.
Luxury couture brands tightly control their logos and the access to them. Also the more current the item. The more difficult it will be to source the item. Try Ebay or Google luxury consignment stores and second hand stores. HTH!
Check on their website for a sense of their pricing. They have a wide range.
It's decent. You would find a lot of deal on the website but the store has more options.
They sell all kind of fabrics and everything related to the sewing industry, for professionals or hobby.
