they have a great selection of very good and beautiful fabrics! But the staff that works there is not friendly and it kind of annoys them to work. They have no courtesy and are in a bad mood. That should be corrected! One goes there to buy not to ask for a gift. When I went I didn't buy, because they weren't nice to me! It is very unpleasant to go to a place where there is no courtesy and good customer service!

This is a place to go when you want to splurge on high quality fabrics or just ogle some. They're located on the 2nd floor, and the building entrance is at the right hand side of Starbucks. They hang the fabric samples which is much easier to browse than rolls. They carry top quality fabrics from Italy as well as more mid range ones. I was worried based on the reviews of rude staff but I had a pleasant experience. They don't ask if they can help unless you approach them, true. But I personally prefer to be left alone so that I can browse the fabric in peace. And when I did approach the staff for help, they were very helpful and friendly. I'd have spent a whole day here if I had time. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in NYC.

im sorry but it is hell to come here they have great fabrics but everyone has the absolute worst attitude like its torture for them to work here they like actually hate you ive never even seen this sort of attitude at luxury stores from the sales associates lmfao like u cut fabric get over yourselves.

All visitors to B&J Fabrics are required to properly wear a mask while on premises. In addition, our entry procedure requires the use of hand sanitizer, a temperature check and name and phone number for contract tracing. All B&J Fabrics employees double mask at all times.

Mood will have a better selection of what you are looking for. B&J has an excellent selection of natural fibers for garment construction. I found the staff to be agreeable.
You'll have better luck finding faux fur at Mood Fabrics. B & J primarily carries wool, cottons, and silks suited for fine apparel.

It depends upon what you are looking for. Generally, B&J is known for high quality fabrics which do tend to cost a bit more. If you are looking for cheap, head to 38th street..
