My mail is getting passed around like a pack of gum. My package could have arrived in one day but because of some person or persons I've been waiting and watching the tracking and it's insane. It was here but then put on a truck and went to RI. It arrived in Shrewsbury the next afternoon put on another truck and didn't not arrive. I'm waiting all day to greet the mailman and sign but nothing. At 3am I see the tracking had found my mail in Nashua NH?! I'm losing my mind trying to find a way to contact USPS but I feel like a helpless child lost in a mall. If it's in another new state because of this distribution center Im going to lose my mental. What should have been a one day trip is now a 4+day expedition around the US. I'm hoping and praying that by some miracle I actually receive my mail this week because trying to get customer service has gotten me nowhere. Ps I live in Worcester so please someone at USPS, please explain how and why this is a recurring problem at this mailing center.

I literally live in shrewsbury. I’m five minutes away from this place and I could literally pick up my package right now. But guess what? They send it to Virginia to go through another distribution center to waste my time.

It's a postal hub. This is where your mail is sent to from your local post office. Then it's loaded for the next hub that handles the state in which you are sending it to.
Track your parcel with USPS.com tracking when you see it arrived in Shrewsbury then it is ready to deliver. Also do a hold Parcel off that website. It should give you the option to request a call once arrived.
The tracking is based on transportation being on time from one facility to the next. If it arrived at Shrewsbury at 7am today, then it was processed during the day. Most likely it will be delivered tomorrow. If it arrived at Shrewsbury at 7am yesterday, then in theory it should be delivered today. There are times that the package machine fails at the plant, when that happens there is not enough crew to overcome that situation and so the delivery is at risk.
