The best thing that happened to me a couple years ago... I was struggling with homelessness as a college student and I relied heavily on star house for resources. The staff genuinely care and there are some who've been there for several years now. They do everything they can to prevent youth from falling. There is a darkness that hangs over a lot of youth and you can feel their energy sometimes. They can go there and rest their head, get food, wash clothes and osama look through donations.

They do a great service to the youth!

This place really tries to take care of the youth! Great place for resources for those between 14 & 24

I'm not sure, I haven't been to this establishment, I would call to see . Sorry I wasn't much help.
They would because they are givin to the homeless adults and teens. They would love any kind of donations.
Yes, definitely
Star House is a drop in center, not a shelter, BUT, you are allowed to be there, I think eighteen hours in, and then out for eight hours before you come back. The staff are very accommodating and even though it's not a shelter, there's plenty of lounging area to chill, rooms to study, and if you fall asleep in the lounging areas, no one will bother you. It has been a transition spot for many a OSU student. I saw another comment saying it was a place for runaway children, I want to correct that, and I've been volunteering at Star House for six years. It's a drop in center for homeless youth, 14-24 years of age, they help those that want to help themselves. They can help you find assistance, jobs, housing, all of that.
Star House is a Youth Drop in Center, ages 14-24. It is not a shelter, so sleeping arrangements are not available.
They cant legally tell anyone the teen is there unless police come to get him.. they will encourage him to talk to parents.
I do not know but I do know there is a staff person that brings her dog there sometimes
I think only 16 hours a day.
Yes. However, Star House isn't a residence, rather, it's a help center. Go and introduce yourself... you'll be welcomed.
no
No the age range is 14-24 for homeless youth
That would be a question to ask Star House directly. This area is for other patrons opinions on their experiences
This forum is a place for folks who have used the business or services to rate their personal experiences, for questions like this it is best to contact Star House directly.
They are almost always accepting donations. The best way to check for sure would be to contact them directly.
There are no rooms starhouse isn't technically a shelter it is a service center you can't sleep laying down either you have to sleep sitting up on either a chair or a couch

Star house is not a shelter. It's a place for children & young adults up to 24 to go & hang out. You are allowed there 12 hours max per day. There's no beds so any sleeping that's done is done sitting.
They are connected with many programs to assist with housing
Star house isn't a homeless shelter. You need to call the homeless hotline.
The Star House accepts donations of women's hygiene products.
Possibly
The ages are from 14 to 24 and we allow youth to sleep in a seated position. There is a 12 hour daily on property limit.
It is a drop in facility. They can bath, eat, do laundry, watch tv, use computer, chill, be warm, use gym...
No but you can eat whatever they have available while your there ,sometimes the have snacks by the door to take
It may be best to call their office.
