I was just on hold for FOUR HOURS and then got hung up on. This is regarding my disabled son's SNAP benefits which they closed on 3/19 claiming his recertification form wasn't received by 3/31! REALLY?? Twelve days before it was due???
Call your senators office and explain the situation and they will help. At least they did for me and my family.
It usually takes 24 hrs after you left n getting in touch with them is almost impossible unless you call them first thing in am n you still may wait several hrs before speaking to anybody. Better off going in person first thing am when they open but don't be surprised that there's a crazy line as if it was black Friday sale😂😂😂😂. But good luck
Call office and check
Walk in , will get help. Hardly ever answer phones, to busy doing nothing . Took brother for new food stamp card, in and out 20 minutes. Call you wait for hours
Fill the forms which are located in the hallway and drop them in the mail box
You have to call , They are nlt accepted on in - person appointments
Call the number on the card whatever the card says is what it is try to use it in the store
No they are closed... only a security guard and Medicaid and snap applications and some other papers on a table.. and a drop off box...
Yes we open until 4pm
In person
If you go to the Pawtucket DHS office, they will be able to assist you right away. I suggest going personally because otherwise your application will be handled within 30days. There is no way they can flag an emergency request for SNAP unless you go in person.
They cant do anything about theft. They dont replace the benefits.
Yes 8:30 - 4pm
No and i know what you mean. I always suggest coming in person and having someone do it right there. When documents are scanned there's no red flag that pops up to tell us that you just dropped something off and the new system doesn't work as it should.
You can make an appt. But we work from 9am to 6pm. So they call at any time. I dont like the phone. In person is easier
Yes
You may also go into any local office to be seen there are over 2000 calls per week and 20 plus persons working the lines volume of calls out number staff.
You should
It is always like that, I was on hold two times for 4 1/2 hours each time in one day and never spoke to anyone.. ended up having to make an appointment and go in!!
The department of human services is open monday through friday 8 am to 3 pm, best to go to the office instead of call. These services need to be updated, please report any issues with the DHS service to your local government officials.
Your best bet is going in person and if you're physically unable to go then assign someone the power of attorney and they can represent you in person.
That's sadly the usual wait time. You're lucky it just hasn't disconnected after 3 hrs. (it happens to a lot of people)
Because people that work the phone don't care we need to band together and contact the governor
Yes.
Online. But good luck if they feel like processing your info.
I would honestly go to the Woonsocket office as dreadful as it may be... they're the only ones that will have your case processed right then and there, while you are in the office.
Never.some how robots are so slow
