These police don’t use common sense and are also rasist.. because I gave them my legal name which is Susan and someone else on the scene called me by my middle name because thts wht I’ve gone by my whole life.. they said I was lying about my name being Susan that I was not there (in the report). How did you come to that conclusion??? Oh assume because I’m Black my name couldn’t possibly be Susan. To actually write tht I was not present is insane.

Police brutality seems to be a common theme in this department. Specifically abuse of authority. I'm suffering from PTSD due to the unethical and unlawful actions of officers within the department. The most distressing part is. These officers will lie and cover up for one another. I'm working to obtain any and all video evidence and recorded evidence. It's a long journey. In most years I've always had a positive and pleasant experience with law enforcement. I had never experienced what it was like to be abused by an officer, and intimidated. I don't shun all police officers. But this department needs more funding for staff education. I have suffered from panic attacks. Only to be dismissed, patronized, and discriminated against for my race and gender. It's a scary process. But the fact that police hang up mid conversation is very scary. I'm terrified to be unlawfully detained again. My constitutional rights will be upheld. It will take time and a series of investigations. If you have a safety concern or any sort of issue. This department is not the one to run to for refuge and aid.

Came to my place over a misunderstanding with my neighbor downstairs and were extremely professional and reasonable. Keep up the excellent work FRPD! Wish I had gotten the officer’s name so I could tell his supervisors what a pro they have in this kid.

I have the same problem with my neighbor. To block a car in and not properly handle cleaning snow that impedes a vehicle is a citation
Although INTERNALLY they may do a "Toys 4 Tots", EXTERNALLY they do not deal with needy families; that's for many other departments or private entities to organize. I know Sstar (who has two locations) on 1010 S. Main St. & 386 Stanley St. in Fall River does something, PERHAPS Citizens For Citizens (CFC) does something. Or you can call City Hall and ask them what, if any, departments do a needy families specialty for Christmas.
Yes, I agree with the gentleman who responded to you, Carol. The police aren't going to rush to a little argument you may have had. They're like the triage in an emergency room; the more "dangerous" or potentially dangerous situations come first.
They love switching them on to get thru red lights. They also love turning on reds
