Very clean store with knowledgeable, friendly, hard working staff. I lost my tiny nose ring in the restroom one evening while shopping late and one of the nicest employees, found, cleaned it and kept safe for me until I came next. Recently however, a new employee has been following us around the store, rude when asked a question and wrongly accused me and my husband of shoplifting. I have a traumatic brain injury which makes my speech and way I go about my daily activities seem "not normal". My memory was affected by the car accident, which means going down the isle multiple times normal, not criminal. My husband and choose to go shopping late at night to avoid the crowds that the daytime hours hold. These are memory improvement techniques that have been suggested by my doctor, not ploys to steal anything from the store. Most employees know this and do not assumptions or discriminate against due to my behavior which is affected by my disability. I horribly embarrassed and feel stigmatized by this employee's unfounded, embarrassing, slanderous accusations that have led me to feel belittled & shamed by her words. Shame on you Safeway for encouraging this type of discrimination and hurtful behavior. What should have been a welcoming and brain healing experience has led me to more trauma and sadness.

Usually I love shopping at safeway but I went to get a sandwich there and I took off the top of the bread before I go to eat it as it is so big and I see this bug and a black hair in there! So gross! Not happy about this I paid 8.99 for this sandwich and so gross Update: I contacted them like they said and the lady on the site said nothing she can do I would need to go into the store to get a refund. I was like I'm not using my gas then getting in line waiting for a cashier and complaining just to get my 8.99 back! I'm just posting my review and let people see for themselves what happened and to be aware.

I don't know; but, Safeway probably doesn't have anyone employed to answer questions like this on Google Maps. I'd suggest you telephone the store and ask.

Depends on which Safeway. If you're inquiring about the one in Fortuna...... There was a lot of confusion last year. Many sources, including their website, indicated that they were open normal hours. However, when I showed up there (drove 30 minutes) they were stone, cold, closed. I encountered quite a few confused and several livid individuals who likewise thought or had been told they would be open. I'm not sure if they were open short hours or not at all. I reiterate this was the Fortuna Safeway last year. So vette your sources or double check with them what their hours are is all that I'm suggesting. Anyway, Merry Xmas!
