Best bottle redemption in CT, If it says ¢.05 On it, they’ll take it! Pre bag your cans by the 100 or they won’t take it.

A good place to recycle water bottles and cans. Do your list of how much bags you have and that’s it. Make sure to separate water bottles and soda cans. I do wish they accept glass bottles without having it on their original box.

Before heading to the Redemption Center I reviewed the question and answer section here. I went and returned many bottles easily. The staff was helpful. Quick and easy.

Hello Raymond, To help speed up the process and get you in and out quick here's how it works! -Separate Water Bottles(16.9 FL Oz) 100 per clear bag(We have clear bags on the premise if you don't have any) Keep Soda bottles in separate bags from the water also a 100 count for small ones, 40 for 2L. -Glass bring back in boxes(6pk,12pk,18pk,24pk) -Cans can also be pre-counted in 200 per clear bag if they are of the same brand, if not when you get to the site just put them on trays(no matter what brand) and you will paid out!

I have cans from seltzer water And soda as well as bottles from water, do I just separate plastic and cans or do I separate plastic, cans for soda and then cans for water?

Cori Avery | Sep 15, 2020
Central Connecticut Redemption | Sep 15, 2020

Cori, For plastic just separate water from soda bottles, 100 water bottle per clear bag, 100 20oz soda per bag, 40 2L if you have any. Cans can be bagged 200 at a time of similar kinds, so in your case 200 seltzer cans per bag. Hope it helps! See ya soon

What bottle/can brands won't they take? Hate being stuck with extras. Thx.

Two Litér bottles are seperate 40 to a bag. Cans are put in boxes 24 at a time . Can be put in bag if you have 100 - 200 from the same Distributor. COCA-COLA , Pepsi , Budweiser-Budlight , ETC.

can you sort out your bottles, cans and glass there? Do they provide the boxes to sort the cans into or do you just put them into bags? when i went there before we didnt have to seperate by brands or anything as well so im confused

Christine Lilley | Sep 15, 2020
Central Connecticut Redemption | Sep 15, 2020

Christine, you can sort your cans and bottles at the redemption. We have trays for cans and clear plastic bags for plastic available. To speed up the process you can separate as follows at home as well: 100 water bottles per bags(brands don't matter) 100 small soda bottles 20oz per bag (brands dont matter) 40 2L per bag 200 cans (of the same brands per bags, this is the only brand separation asked, if you use the trays then brands dont have to be separated!) Glass bottles just bring them back in a box, 12pk, 18pk, 24 case box.

I got three bags of bottles mostly water should I leave the soda home since they do per bag. Only like maybe 24 soda and rest are water.

Morning Dominic! You can bring the not full bag of soda as well just let the staff know that it isn't a full hundred and what the count for that soda bag is.

Is it possible to just sort the plastic water bottles into bags and then put the soda cans into trays and soda bottles instead of separating the soda by brands? Or does it all have to be separated by brand???

Christine Lilley | Sep 15, 2021
Central Connecticut Redemption | Sep 15, 2021

Hello Christine! You are correct that only water and soda bottles have to be in separate bags, the brands don't matter for plastic. Soda cans can also be bagged if you have similar brands, if not they can be put into trays regardless of brand.

so that i understand it. if i have two different brands of seltzer water i can put one brand in a clear plastic bag and the other brand in another clear plastic bag instead of putting them in the cardboard trays. that would make it so much easier.

lin jo | Sep 15, 2021
Central Connecticut Redemption | Sep 15, 2021

Lin, that's correct you can put same branded seltzer water cans in clear plastic bags up to 200 per bag.

Is this the place where you put 100 cans in a clear bag?

Sure as long as the plastic bags have water and soda bottles separate. Just a friendly reminder that our standard counts are as follows: 100 Water Bottles per bag 100 16-20oz soda bottles per bag 40 2L soda per bag 60 1L soda per bag 200 cans of the same brands per bag, don't mix different brands in the same bag.

I have a bunch of glass but not the boxes. Do you have boxes there we can put them in?

christina murphy | Sep 15, 2020
Central Connecticut Redemption | Sep 15, 2020

Christina, unfortunately at this time there is a box shortage and we do not have any supply left. But we will accept them in any beer box they don't have to be the orginals

So Glass must be in the cases. Cans must be separated by brand 200 per bag. Plastic is 100 per bag. 2 liter is 40 per bag. Now question does the plastic also need to be separated by brand. Does the glass need to be the same color in each box. TIA

Dannielle Suchitt | Sep 15, 2020
Central Connecticut Redemption | Sep 15, 2020

Nope, soda bottles do not need to be sorted by brand, just keep water separated from soda. glass does not need to be color sorted either, just 24 bottles per case.
