El Sarape is a GREAT authentic Mexican restaurant with consistent, high-quality food and drinks, live entertainment, a great patio and an even better bar!! While residential and commercial development has happened all around the restaurant over the past 10 years, El Sarape just keeps churning out great food and remains a fixture in Weymouth, Landing. They stayed open during the pandemic and started doing take out which we took full advantage of. Taco Tuesday became routine and El Sarape was/is the caterer! Try the Enchiladas Verdes, the Carne Asada or the Shrimp Fajitas. And don't forget to order Churros with caramel and chocolate sauce to finish off the meal!

Waitress was good, the patio out back is cool. The menu seems to have declined over the years. I went with a few friends on a Tuesday and they were out of a lot of things…fish chorizo pork several drinks ingredients etc. the drinks we did end up ordering were good. They used to be a lot better but the food and service we had was still tasty

My favorite is the chicken enchiladas with molè… great Margaritas too .
