I have been going to Camp Jewell for about 4 years now and it is one of my favorite places on earth. The friendships that I have made here will last forever. Even when I do not see my camp friends for and entire school year, when we go back to camp it is like we never left. Not only do I have amazing memories of my friends, but also my counselors. Every counselor I had were incredibly friendly, funny and understandable. I love Camp so much and I am so exited to go back this summer and see all of my friends!

Camp Jewell is the most special place on Earth. The culture of Camp Jewell is fantastic - welcoming and inclusive. People say Camp Jewell changed their life - I would say the same! And, now it is shaping the lives of my children, as well. It is their 'happy place' - the place where they say they go to 'be themselves' with 'no judgment'. It is an amazing retreat from the pressure of academics, social life, and sports during the school year, and they come home so relaxed and care-free - like the kids I know are hiding in there all the time. My daughter (now 14) cries every time I pick her up because she is so sad to leave the friends she's made and because she knows she is returning to a place that is more stressful than camp, and she leans on her 'camp friends' all year long for support when she needs it. My son (now 11) keeps in touch with his best buds from camp via text message and gaming consoles all year long, and cannot wait to get back to them each year. The year-round staff are exceptional - their energy and passion for young people is unmatched, and the summer counselors represent a diverse set of backgrounds, nationalities, languages, skills and viewpoints. Approximately 10% of the campers are on scholarship, and it has always been this way even back when I was a camper. Diversity was a key part of Camp Jewell's culture even before it was trending. This place not only allows kids to be themselves, it opens their minds to a world of possibilities outside of their normal lives. This camp is for the 'everyman' kid or the kid who just wants to go away and be a kid. I cannot say enough positive things about it. You will not regret introducing your child to this very special place.

Unfortunately we do not have one this year. Our next women’s wellness weekend is in May
I believe it starts on August 5th. You can double check on the Camp Jewell website
