I'm from Ashford CT, now living in Texas. I lived there for about 20 years and know very well about this camp. As far as the quality of the people that run it and worked there, it was top notch. Iit was rustic and outdoors, the way a kids camp should be. Not a lot of electronics and video games. It's nice to hear kids are still getting to enjoy this wonderful place.

the fire was at the garage area im working at the new building they build for the staff, should not affect the opening
