I had a wrist injury and a lot of discomfort. But Orlando Orthopedic Center really helped. They did a great job and took care of me and my injury. I had to have surgery for my wrist and the result went excellent thanks to The amazing works of Dr. Halperin. My wrist really and truly feels better. Would highly recommend going here. They truly take care of their patients.

This practice is a joke. The only good part of the experience was the receptionist. The Medical assistant couldn't even get paperwork correct spelled my Boyfriends name wrong on a prescription and workers comp paperwork. He then proceeded to get the office manager to say we wanted something else everytime he came in the room when really he just couldn't do what we asked for correctly and had to keep changing stuff even had my boyfriend sign for a medication he didnt want to take because he said he would have to do the paperwork all over again if he didn't. The doctor pretty much told us they follow the same protocol for all patients on workman's comp how is that even possible when people have different issues. This "Doctor" didn't go over the x-rays or CT for the problem just came in for 5 mins asked 4 questions and barely even looked at the area and went out of the room when we asked the medical assistant to speak to the dr again to confirm something he proceded to tell us that he had other patients and wasn't going to change anything. We weren't wanting to just change something we were trying to confirm what we had discussed since the medical assistant said something different. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy they just pretty much go through the motions to get paid.

UPDATE - Spoke to the Cathy (Branch Manager), who advised she had a training/coaching session with the receptionist on how to better answer insurance questions. Cathy was very professional and acknowledged where the receptionist had fallen short. I appreciate her investing the time in her employees so that other patients don't have to experience the same billing shock. Besides that, my husband had a good sessions with the physical therapist(s), and said he would go back to this location in the future. My husband had physical therapy here for about 6 weeks. The sessions were fine, and the team was friendly. My main complaint is that the front desk receptionist needs to be trained on how to handle insurance information and questions. When the first of the year came around, I showed her our insurance, and specifically asked her what the charges were going to be for these visits going forward since we hadn't hit our deductible yet. She "looked it up" and told us the fee per visit would be $65, I clarified asking if that was the only charge we would have, and she told us "yes". A few months later we received a bill in the mail for all visits because $65 was not the true amount, it was only partial. I called billing twice, and they just kept stating that the $65 is the initial charge before they send to insurance, which then gets processed and determined what the real charge is. If that was all explained in the beginning, we would have committed to fewer sessions knowing that the visits were going to be more expensive. I don't think the receptionist deliberately lied to us, but the employee clearly needs some additional training to properly give patients accurate information.

I know that they accept workers comp but am not sure if it is out of state. I am not sure of the second answer
It depends on what kind of surgery you need. They can do some procedures in the offices. Most surgical procedures are at the surgical center or hospital.
