My husband is currently being treated for lung cancer. The staff at both Orlando Regional Health downtown Orlando and at Lake Mary are so compassionate and professional. Everyone from Nurses, Doctors, to the schedulers are all going the extra mile to accommodate us and to make this difficult journey, as easy for us as possible. I cannot give enough praise to the whole staff at Orlando Regional Health all locations.

I had to bring my son into the ER this morning because he was having severe abdominal pain. Dr. Spreitzer and staff were friendly and helpful. After an x-ray and some meds we were on our way. Dr. Spreitzer advised us that if my son's condition didn't improve, he'd be there all day. By 5pm, the pains were worsening so we returned to find all the same staff on shift. Dr. Spreitzer recommended an IV for dehydration and my son lost his mind because he is terrified of needles. Greg, the nurse on duty, and Peggy (I believe an EMT) were on their A game. Greg proposed 2 options for numbing the area, but Peggy took it one step further and asked Greg to start an IV on her so my son could see how fast and easy it was. In the end, (and some tears later) the IV went in, my son's pain was relieved and we were in and out in a very short time. Having had many ER experiences myself, I can honestly say that this was world class service. The patient was always first in the staff's mind and as a worried parent I was comforted knowing my son was in good hands. I came home and told my husband that I would never go to another ER again. We're so fortunate to have such a top notch facility literally down the road from our home. While in the moment my son may not have been so pleasant, he came home and admitted how nice and everyone was and how grateful he was for that particular group of people- high praise from a 9 year old with a needle phobia!

I can't praise this excellent facility enough! Everyone on staff is compassionate and sensitive. Dr. Sheikh is easy to understand and makes it a point to ensure that you understand everything about your diagnosis and treatment, easing any worries that he can. When going in for treatment, it is a comfortable and relaxing environment. The nurses are knowledgeable and friendly. I am thoroughly impressed.
