Supreme Reefs is the best salt water LFS in NoVa. My wife and I have been to most of the ones in the area before reentering the hobby after a 10 years-ish break in the hobby. Ben has the best selection of fish and corals and is willing to special order something if he doesn’t have it in stock or regularly carry it. He will also take the time to explain everything to you, and will genuinely recommend only what you need. He doesn’t try to make you buy things just for the sake of making a sale. He’s pretty good about responding to emails, but the best way to get ahold of him is by calling. Additionally, his shop can get busy at times and you may need to wait a bit until it’s your turn for customer service, but it will be worth the wait. He will spend as much time as needed with you to answer all your questions or to provide a thorough explanation. The ONLY down side to Supreme Reefs is the hours. It’s only open 4 days a week for 4 hours, which can be a bit difficult to work into your schedule, but so far it hasn’t been a problem for my wife and I.

Look no further, this is the shop that will meet all of your saltwater needs. The staff is friendly and always helpful. They don't just try to sell you stuff, they attempt to help you get where you want to be with your tank. Our BioCube is flourishing due to the meticulous step by step help we received from the staff. We drive from Fort Washington to patronize this shop and we are customers for life.
