Donald was our guide...he was fun and informative. I liked his pictures he shared too. It is hot...bring lots of water....don't forget bug spray. If you are quiet you will hear the pug frogs and growling of alligators! So cool. The "pet" racoon is very accommodating to pictures and walking the run way but remember he is still wild!

A great place. Nature, wildlife and you find something new everytime you visit corcscrew sanctuary.

Beautiful boardwalk one of the best in Florida, you get to see several pristine biomes and so much wildlife.

Yes a big one in front of the visitor center and smaller restrooms inside the visitor center.
No pets- but I encourage you to find a sitter and check out Corkscrew yourself, it's really incredible.
Hi, they have free wheelchairs.
13000 acres. The walk is 2.25 miles
The number of birds has a lot to do with water level. The water level has been quite high lately and therefore all of the nature has been more dispersed. My last several trips have had relatively limited bird sightings although there have been hawk and a small assortment of other bird. If the water level drops there will be an increase in sightings.
I think the rain would make it more interesting, because you’ll see different animals and how the rain interacts with the landscape. Our host has been there in all seasons and said that she is always amazed at how different it looks. I would definitely still go.
Dried up when I was there 3 weeks ago.

$17 for adults and $6 for children from 6 to 14 years.
Go on to Corkscrew Sanctuary website and reserve online. They're limited due to COVID, but with enough leadtime, you should be fine.
Yes! We are open Tuesday-Sunday all year long, including holidays. Please make sure to make a reservation in advance from our website. Happy Holidays.
Thanks for your inquiry. Currently there are none viewable from the boardwalk, though we have had some on our property in the past. I would suggest the Eagle Watch program at Audubon’s Center for Birds of Prey. And in Naples, there is an eagle nest on Starfish near Seagate Beach access.
Great question....and you may want to call the front desk at the swamp to confirm your question...but I believe this is the time of year that it germinates 😉 Good luck
We parked our 39' RV with car trailer in the lot. However, there aren't many spaces to do that there. Don't go when it will be full. ( I.e. on the weekends). Do go however, as it is a great place to see lots of birds and some gators. If you are really lucky you might see a Florida Panther. Take a good camera if you have one.
No there are not. But there is a great boardwalk through the sanctuary. Get there early to get a parking spot. The birding is there phenomenal so bring binoculars if you have them and your camera. Lots of wildlife there and the opportunity to see some rare bird species.
For the after hours there will be music

Yes, $14 for adults, but it is temporarily reduced to $10 right now.
No that I know of, but like everyone else has said, it's easily accessible for them. You can rent binoculars though!
Unfortunately no, dogs are not permitted in the sanctuary because they are stressful for the resident fauna.
I live about 120 miles North , E mail Audubon directly or check the web site,if there is extreme damagento the trees or boardwalk they will suspend admission until repairs are complete.
