Horrible experience here, I would not even recommend this place to an enemy. They spread lies- and do not care about their patients, they will give excuse after excuse. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Dr. Chand is a great dude! And it means a lot that my dog approves of him. Dr. Carrier is a wonderful and kind veterinarian, and my pets have confirmed this as well as my own observations.

After looking online and seeing that nearly everyone had expensive prices, I started going here because I only have Sundays off from my two jobs. Even when this location is open on Sunday, there aren't many businesses that are.

We took our old dog in for what we thought was vestibular syndrome, as he has had this in the past. We were able to get same day appointment, which was great. We ended up waiting about an hour after appointment time to be seen. Dr. Chand (I believe), entered the room, did not introduce himself, and immediately asked how long he had an ear infection for. We told staff, we don't know if he has ear infection but we wanted to check since this can cause some of the symptoms he was having, I'm sure I said that at least 3x, so no one was really listening to my main complaint and just assumed ear infection. We explained to Dr. Chand his symptoms and he immediately said his gut reaction was a brain tumor, which of course is devastating. He told me because he had vertical nystagmus which is almost always indicative of brain tumor, which actually is not true....it can also mean vestibular syndrome. So right off the bat I do not trust his veterinary advise. He just went straight to the worst diagnosis and didn't even touch on vestibular syndrome. He placed him on steroids and thankfully I read the instructions when we got home, because he did not once mention to us to start Pepcid or wait 2-3 days to start prednisone after discontinuing his Rimadyl. It would have been nice to hear this from him prior to leaving, most people don't take the effort to actually read instructions. Overall I felt unhappy with this visit. We waited an hour or longer to be seen, Dr. Chand didn't have the best bedside manner, nor did he try to explain any differential diagnoses. Thankfully I work as an NP and have some medical background, which is why I felt his rational for a brain tumor was weak and although my dog could have one, I just do not trust his judgment based on his reasoning. We ended up going to our regular vet the next day for a more detailed exam and explanation. I wouldn't recommend this vet. Try Village Vet of Urbana instead!!
