My wife and i spent a couple hours there last February before boarding for our cruise. We didn't see any manatees. When we asked some locals, they said this time of year the manatees spend most of their time near warmer waters They are more common in the summer at the park.

They are not being spotted regularly. Warm season, especially early am are your best bet. If you're a tourist looking for something to do, it's not a bad spot you stretch your legs and let the kids run.
