Would be a nicer library if it was updated. Staff seems so burnt out and unfriendly.
Charlotte Colley
It was my first time there & everyone was so helpful.

Compared to the public library back in Tallahassee, the Marion County Library is outdated. VHS tapes fill the shelves while having just as many scratched DVDs. Nice librarians willing to help. Printers are old. Magazine selection keeps dwindling. The children's section needs more events. Lots of room for improvement.

When they open the doors. 10:00 AM
When in the area stop by and speak to a librarian. They are great 👍
Yes the main branch is open normal hours tomorrow (10 am to 6pm). I know this because there is no sign in the lobby saying the library would be closed for President's Day. Also I have a study room booked for tomorrow for part of the day they wouldn't do that if the library was closed.
Driver license should suffice, however maybe a bill that came to your address wouldn't hurt either
Fully open.☺️
I agree I go and print never asked about scanning. I would do what monica suggested call they are super helpful and will assist anyway they can.

For interlibrary loan questions, you'll want to call or stop by the library after it's open at 10. The librarians will need to be able to check a few things in the computers before they'll be able to tell you if ILL is a possibility. Ocala's number is 671-8551, and it is open from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. today (Thursday).
Prospective volunteers must be 14 years of age or older in order to be eligible to apply. However, once they are old enough, there are a number of opportunities for them to get volunteer hours! There is a volunteer application that must be filled out. It is available at the libraries or can be printed from the website at https://www.marioncountyfl.org/departments-agencies/departments-o-z/public-library-system/library-info/volunteering
Volunteers from AARP are doing tax preparation at Headquarters-Ocala Library on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. They do not accept pre-reservations; you must be there in the morning to sign up for that day. The line starts forming early, and usually they fill up quickly for the day. There are other AARP Tax Prep locations in the area; just Google AARP Tax Aide Site Locator. Or you can call United Way's 211 line to register for their tax assistance.
At this time, AARP is only going to be at the Headquarters-Ocala library on Thursdays. Call 671-8551 for more details.
