Follow the rules or don't go. It's not the best, but it's not the worst, just be thankful you have a place to climb in Jax! The other reviews that can't follow the rules, shouldn't go into privately owned businesses and act like fool's, otherwise you will be asked to leave, this is America, and nobody has a right to dictate how ANYBODY chooses to run they're business that's called FREEDOM. If you don't like it, then don't go, if you make a stink and ruin other patrons experience and make it hard on the staff, they have a right to ask you to leave!!

Just moved to Jax and joined the edge because I wanted to do some working out and climbing. The bouldering area is pretty small but there are some good auto belays… don’t expect to spend more than 30 minutes projecting around. I wish they had a college/young adult/womens night every week/month where you could meet some people to top rope with. I enjoy the gym area and while there are plenty of plates & dumbbells there is not much variety with the machines. I really wish there was a lat pull down/sitting row pulley to do a few more moves. Lastly, as I was wondering before joining & didn’t see anything on here, there are locker rooms with shower areas but there is no good place to change. Also I have a big problem with the frequent occurrence of boys coming in with their parents/counselors etc…I am not talking about toddlers and often see 3-9 year old boys accompany people in. While I know it is a “bathroom” and we are in a gender neutral era ,it is also a full “locker room” and I would love to be able to change without a child staring at me. This is my one issue that I have had coming and would love if better restrictions were in place about this! Or at least put a better door/divider between the two areas.

Definitely my favorite place in Jacksonville. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the routes are really cool. Definitely a climbing style I'm not used to but very fun. Great for beginners and avid climbers alike !! Has top rope, lead, auto-belay, and bouldering. Auto belays are better for beginners but the holds are very used so be careful because it's slippery.

I only started climbing two months ago but The Edge Rock Gym has been an amazing place to get into the hobby. The community is great and there are plenty of climbs for a multitude of skill levels. If you're in the area and looking to climb, give it a visit!

What about 14 years old kid my friends son can go with me ?
Our tallest wall is 35 feet tall. Most are 30ft tall however. Our boulders are 12 feet tall.
I pay $63 a month for the rock climbing membership which includes the fitness area and discounts on classes and gear, or you can get just a fitness membership for $35 a month, which also includes discounts.
It lasts the whole day! You can even leave and go out for food and come back if you'd like! Because of how our computer system it logs your visit so we can make sure it all works out.
Yes,but the parent has to sign a waiver. There is a safety video that everyone has to watch as well.
There are 9 auto belay sections with 3 routes each. The remaining rope routes will either be Top Rope and/or Lead. Lots of bouldering too.
$20.00 there, but Goupon has discount passes.
Hi! You can bring your grandchildren to climb without the parents joining! We will need a few things to this though! Anyone entering our facility (whether you are climbing or not) will need a COVID-19 waiver and a liability waiver on file with us. For your grandchildren, you will need to have their parents fill out their waiver and have their hand written signature on it. We will also need a copy of the parents I.D. If you have all three items listed above, you will be able to smoothly begin your experience with us! We also like to mention that any child under the age of 14 will need an adult to clip them in and out of our auto belay systems! We hope to see you soon!
Hey Zapture! Yes we do! We actually host quite a few different summer camps as a field trip location, rather than running out own camp. We've found that this works best for us.
Absolutely, there are workers that stay on the floor and watch/help everyone.
