Capital vets has gone extremely downhill and has clearly taken a money grab approach. They have zero compassion and clearly don’t care about you or your pet. We almost lost one of our dogs due to their negligence, but decided to give them another shot since there are not many good options out there. After waiting two hours in their parking lot and NEVER seeing a doctor, they requested we leave our dog overnight for bloodwork and to watch him for potential kennel cough. We ended up going to another vet and it was not kennel cough. Please use your common sense if you go here and don’t just accept what you’re told.

Do not come here they did a very poor job on my dog and very money hungry, my dog is nearly dead i finally found him a great vet that he at and getting treatment at right now. These people lied to me and put on paper that my dog weighed 25lbs they never weighed my dog cause he is that x2. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY THEY DONT CARE IF YOUR DOG IS ON HIS LAST BREATH.

Three days ago I brought our poodle here because he had been throwing up with diarrhea all day then developed a critically high fever. I sat in the waiting room for a long time putting ice packs I brought from home between his legs. They finally took him back. Almost an hour later they came and asked me for $400 for blood work. Then I didn't hear anything for hours. I started going to the desk asking to talk to the tech. When she came out she said they had critical patients and only ONE doctor to handle it. After 3 1/2 hours had passed I explained how I had to go to work early and would need to have my husband relieve me if it was going to be much longer . Finally they put me in a room and said they would like to start fluids and keep him overnight. So for almost 4 hours they had done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for him. Nothing. Let that sink in. He had a fever of almost 106 and had been throwing up all day. Had he been any sicker HE WOULD HAVE DIED! They put him in a crate and just left him there. I waited 3 days to review them because I didn't want to write this while angry. I'm writing this because I love animals and don't want any of you in this situation. I don't want your animal to suffer or die. I had to ASK for sub-q fluids then I took him home. Luckily he's ok but it's only because of the grace of God. I wouldn't bring a stuffed animal to them.

I had a very sick puppy so I just walked in after driving an hour and a half to get there. They took very good care of my puppy.
They have specialists for just about everything. I would call to see.

I believe they deal strictly with dogs and cats. Sorry 😞
For an ER visit, $90 is cheap! UF ER is about $125 and will turn you away if it's not a life or death emergency. At least you're not turned away here. My dog had a huge lump on her neck and growing by the day. UF ER turned her away. It turned out to be cancer. Thank God there is a place we can still afford. Probably why they have so many customers.
There is an advertisement in the office where u can arrange with an outside company payment plans but I used care credit which gives u interest free for a certain amount of time depending on the amount. They r totally worth it. Everyone is amazing!
