I have to agree with Rose’s review. You DO NOT want your loved ones to come here for REHAB; most especially if they are not an existing resident. Yes, they have decent food, the room was very nice and clean. Some of the nurses are very nice, others not, and the PT was just OK. Took 2 rounds of surgeon’s PT instructions for my mom’s shoulder & arm PT to start. After I personally delivered the orders to the staff twice! Moreover, it became crystal clear early on the administration ONLY cares about the money and was blatant in their attempts to prematurely discharge my mother. REPEATEDLY! Even Medicare agreed with extensions granted and an appeal won! First they claimed my mother was not progressing, then she was progressing, then she was progressing too well?!? Really? It’s all SUBJECTIVE and manipulated. She is NOT able to return home. She was 100% fully independent prior to her fall. With multiple broken bones in addition to a femur fracture that required emergency surgery; she has made incredible progress but is still not nearly strong enough for all ADL. She still requires significant assistance. She has 50 days of eligible SAR left. The goal of every SAR is to get the patient back to their life or as close to it prior to their injury. My mother was well on her way; but Broadmead decided for the 4th time to “give a date”. This time I decided we were DONE dealing with this place! The administration kept blaming Medicare; however it was Broadmead that determined services ending. They are the ones submitting the paperwork to Medicare and it is ALL, again, subjective and manipulated how they choose. Further, if one more doctor or PT said they were “advocating hard” for my mom to stay… really… and the discharge dates kept coming! Total scam! It was obvious their business model is not what is in the best interest of the patient. It's business only! Get the incentives paid and out the door. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on how this whole system works. It’s a racket. Further, seek a facility that puts the patient’s needs first! As 40+year members of the surrounding community with the ability to choose virtually any retirement community for my Mom’s future; Broadmead will NOT be on our list of facilities for future retirement considerations. We wanted her out of there so much so; we moved her into an Assisted Living facility to pay outright for her care until she is actually strong enough to go back home! Yes, that’s how untenable it became. Again, go somewhere that puts the needs of your loved one first. Julie Dettor

I love the floor plans of the housing units.

just another old age home with pretty views, in a cheaply built institution with the same old institutional atmosphere and staff. Once you get inside the depression starts to set in . . .

Pets on Wheels and the formal volunteer pet visitors we work with to visit on our health care areas now allowed to visit as long as there is not an active COVID situation, the owner is vaccinated, and their dog is up to date with the Pets on Wheels records.
I think you should delete this question because anyone on Google can see where your friend lives
Huntsville bus or light rail train all the way to last stop then Broadmead has it own shuttle for staff from there
