Wonderful time with my grandkids on kids day. They had a wonderful time. Everything was reasonably priced. They can't wait till Halloween ride.

Very nice relaxing ride through pristine country. All folks at railroad very nice and accomadating.. Snacks and drinks reasonable priced. Only drawback no restrooms on train have to use before or at 30 min stop. Highly recommend.

We did the Murder Mystery Dinner, this was our second trip, we also attended last year. Everything and everyone was amazing. The cast of characters so talented and able to really make you believe in their individual roles and play full of laughs, improv, & intrigue. Kept us guessing. Their performance does not disappoint. Can't wait to see what they do next. The dinner was yummy with many choices, we were stuffed. The train itself a giant sized piece of history adds to the ambiance. Even the engineer and conductors interacted with everyone cheerfully, and played along with the mystery. Whole experience I highly recommend. Dinner, a show, a train trip on a vintage train, and lots of railroad history and memorabilia to enjoy at both ends of the track, all in about 3 hours!

Had a great time on the train trip to see Santa with the kiddos. All the staff and facilities were great. We will definitely be aboard again

All grade crossings except those in quiet areas require the driver to blow grade crossing a set distance from them. The familiar long-long-short-long sound heard nearly everywhere of course. There is also 2 short before moving forwards, 3 short before moving backwards, and 1 short for stopped and brakes on. These are all federally standardized horn/whistle signals the railroads are required to use.
Not that I'm aware of. It's to SEE the area...wouldn't be able to do that if it's dark
What's the schedule an Arctic train rides
Its 3 steps plus a stool. These steps are about a foot between each and are at a steep angle. A railing is there for this reason. For wheel chair users, a lift is available at both stations. Please keep in mind that these trains and cars are over 100 years old, accessibility wasn't thought of back then. Arcade & Attica has done their best for wheel chair users!
I'm not exactly sure, but if you go to their website or the Wyoming County Tourism website, they will have the complete and most accurate calendar of events for the Arcade and Attica Railroad. Don't forget to make it to the emcampment in the park at the same time. You will be stepping back in history to circa 1865 and they will invite you to be a part of history for your stay. Don't miss it.
You pick up tickets and board the train at 278 Main St, Arcade, N.Y. 14009
