Very expensive utility rates. As of 2022 the cost of electricity here is 11 cents a kWh compared to 6-7 center a kWh in Lakeland Electric's area where we moved from. On top of that, if you want to go solar, they do not follow State Net Metering Laws. Effectively killing any chance of getting away from paying for their expensive electricity. Because they don't have net metering, they'll gladly buy your excess power for 5 cents a kWh and charge you 11 cents. Very disappointed with this company.

We’ve had PRECO for over a total of 14 years in 2 different locations, as well as another provider in the area at a different address. We’ve had different experiences with customer service however our power service and affordability has been great and easy to handle. Occasional outages have happened and we’ve had terrible customer service reps as well as great ones but that goes for any business when dealing with people. I’m grateful to live where I can have PRECO.

All the reviews are spot on! 1.9 rating is kinda high honestly. If you have them you know and if you’re lucky enough not to have them , DONT BUY A HOUSE IN THEIR SERVICE AREA!!!

Can someone explain to me why 1/2 my subdivion has power and the rest of us have been out of power since 9am. It is because half of us are forced to use Peace river (and we do not have power) and the rest are able to use FPL... The storm has not even hit bradenton yet, nor has the winds or rain been a factor. This is ridiculous, it should have been fixed early this morning prior to the storm!!!!
We'll stop buying stolen property. If you have doubts that preco is selling them.
