The park is very clean, the bathrooms are cleaned daily and monitored multiple times during the day. The staff is friendly and helpful, Bryan, a seasonal ranger is the nicest gentlemen and does alot of the programs, he is very knowledgeable and even does some impromptu programs. I would recommend visiting and staying in this park. One con we had was the kids area for fishing takes up a large portion of the campground and not many children use it. A bit too large an area for this restriction.

This is mine and my families favorite state park to camp at. We travel around the stated and do 3-4 new parks every year, and we keep coming back to this one at least once a year. Clean and family friendly. I recommend this to everyone I meet at a campground.

The campsite itself is very nice. The people on the other hand are not. Basically everyone who camps here knows eachother and are very rude and inconsiderate in regards to outside guests. You get yelled at for driving the speed limit while they let their children run around all over the road. You will be told to park your car in different directions by multiple park rangers. No one is considerate to the 9pm quiet time and are partying well into the night. I would not recommend coming here. The view and the fishing is all this park has going for it.

Camped at this campground for over 20 years. We loved going there, until Mary retired and the new park manager took over. Every time we have been there since they have complained about how we park the camper, how we park the truck. How we can’t fill up our camper with water if we aren’t camping there, how we can’t dump if we aren’t camping there, can’t use the dumpster for garbage if we aren’t camping there. Our favorite place is no longer a place we wish to visit. We have always paid extra money to help support the park. I must be misunderstanding the purpose of PA state parks. It’s a beautiful park nestled in between the mountains but not the camping experience it used to be for us.

Showers are included with the campground fee if you are staying in the park. If you would like to shower and are not staying, you may pay for a shower. It is $4 at the park office or with an honor envelope.
There are very few chain restaurants in this part of the world. Black Forest Inn, Mountain Top and Provisions, Tavern at Pine Creek, Kettle Creek Inn. Closer to the park you have Deb's Cross Fork Inn.
If your daughter is camping in sites 1-30, yes, if she's in 33-81, no. Our Park is pet friendly but Campground one the lodge and any buildings do not allow pets
If the extra car fits on the pad (not in grass) end to end with your other vehicle and/or camper you may park it at your site for $5/night. There is a second car parking lot in each campground where you can park it for free.
Yes! The Friends of Ole Bull sell it from the campground host site (31 or 32) $5 for a good sized bundle. All proceeds come back to the park to pay for events like the Kid's Fishing Derby and park improvements.
Sarah has the best information You could probably even talk to her at the park office when you arrive
