I visited dr mazzaorana about 4 years ago, referenced by my regular psychiatrist, dr keefer, who I had seen for many years. She was retiring so I went by her reference. I was a little uncomfortable the first time, but chalked that up to being used to a female for so long and was glad to have my meds continued to be refilled. It seemed like I couldn't get used to dr maazzaranna and I mistakenly discontinued seeing him, thinking I WAS happy and really didn't need my meds anymore. Well, 4 years later and I have learned a hard lesson. I had a hard time getting back into the practice and was met with in compassionate workers or at least, the people who answered the phones!!! I even tried talking to the office manager, per the phone prompts. Anyway I wound up just going to another psychiatrist that I was able to get an appointment this very same morning, in two weeks time!!! With NO DEPOSIT!!!! I'm sorry, Dr Mazzorana, but I DID TRY!!!!!

If I could give Tara Howe zero stars, I would because that would accurately describe my experience with her. She invalidated my medical conditions trying to gaslight me into thinking my bloodwork results aren't real. She would LAUGH and make sarcastic jokes while I was discussing serious subjects and/or CRYING. I directly told her that I didn't think it was funny, and she was not apologetic in the least. I reported her misconduct to the office manager, and if they do not take action to reprimand her, I will be reporting her to the Florida Board of Psychology. I have all of our sessions recorded. and I have PROOF of her misconduct.

I've been a patient of Dr M several years. Very pleasant demeanor & easy to talk too. Very responsive staff. Highly recommend!

Was a referral and simply making an appointment which was going to be 24 days out was the worst experience I have encountered. It's hard enough when a family member is in need of a mental therapist but when money up-front is more important before you can even get to the appointment date, the Health Care system is broken!!! I pray to God you actually help people!!

Questions & Answers

What is the typical initial office visit fee? My insurance co. Says Dr. Mazzorana is "out of network" so I would be required to pay 30% of the fee charged for each office visit.

The initial intake, which is filing out all the paperwork, and talking to the Dr. For 40-50 minutes used to be $350. They are very nice, if I were you I would call the office and find out the current rate, you don't have to give your name if you are worried about that.

Do you take Medicare?
