Well they do things a little differently in Connecticut, but surprisingly good. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy definitely didn't look anything like any other breakfast gravy that I've seen in the past , but if you just get past what you're eyes are telling you and just give it a taste, then you'll be pleasantly surprised. The sauce is very flavorful thanks to an unusual tasting sausage. The eggs were done perfectly and the rest of the meal was nice too. An overall pleasant experience

I’ve been to Mitchell’s previously and had a decent experience so it was my suggestion to my friends to go again last weekend. We were seated and kindly asked if it would be okay to move over to the next table, the busser replied “idk don’t ask me that’s not part of my job”… we automatically felt uncomfortable and like a burden to them.. but we decided to stay and try to enjoy ourselves. We were then served and my toast was black- so I kindly asked for new toast when my server then asked for my plate- so I handed her my plate and she proceeded to grab the toast off of my plate with her bare hands which is unsanitary and unacceptable. I didn’t make a fuss and continued to pay… the server then ran my card printed my receipt and tossed it over at me without eye contact muttering “have a great day” in a very unfriendly tone. I was sad to feel like such a problem just trying to enjoy a nice breakfast with my friends. I felt as though I was treated unfairly and made a very rare decision not to tip. The server then looked up at me and I mentioned if she was kind to me, I would’ve absolutely tipped her. She then proceeded to scream at me in front of the whole restaurant that I am rude and to never “fucking” come back. I was shocked that I was being yelled at especially after I was respectful in all aspects of my terrible experience. I called the manager the next day to settle the issue and she told me “now I see what my staff meant about you” and that she was too busy to accommodate me over the phone and she would call me later to settle the problem- and never did. I believe it pays to be kind and I will absolutely not give Mitchell’s Any more of my business. I hope you all have a better experience than we did. I’ve never been treated so terribly by a server.

Food was good. They were swamped but the service was still great! Glad to see them growing!
