I went to FRC following a liver transplant at Shands Hospital. I was numb, broken, and literally struggling to survive. FRC was very accommodating to my needs and medical appointments. Their staff showed a genuine concern and interest in making recovery achievable at the most fragile point in my life. After a couple failed rehab attempts, I truly feel like I “got” it while attending the Florida Recovery Center. I learned the reasons behind WHY my addiction ruined my life, and the tools I needed to fix it. Their emphasis on powerlessness really opened my eyes to the rest of the recovery process. I also loved learning about the medical and scientific aspects of addiction. I had not gained that type of in-depth insight at any other recovery program. I attended the php and the IOP program. Both were highly effective for different reasons. I actually said I would not mind being in that IOP program the rest of my life (but Laura or Regis will tell you that is what meetings are for ;). The Dr.’s and counselors are all extremely knowledgeable and do not sugar coat the steps it takes when it comes to your recovery. You may butt heads with one, or many of them, but I found that those moments are the ones in which I grew the most. If you are serious about recovery, I highly recommend FRC. I am now going on 16 months sober and could not be more grateful for the program, staff, and doctors at FRC!

FRC was a vital part of my recovery journey. The medical staff and therapists were amazing. After 3 years of sobriety, I continue to return to FRC as often as possible to give back. FRC will give you an exceptionally safe place to begin your recovery journey.

FRC was the beginning for a new foundation of life for me. I went into treatment here on January 2, 2020. I had no idea what kinds of obstacles I was about to face but with the help and guidance of FRC, the road was paved rather than an old game trail. I will say that I have been through FRC several times. For some people once is all the help they need. I am not that case. To me, treatment centers lay a foundation for the work that needs to be done outside the thin walls they create. They allow space for someone like me to take time from the world and the reasons we do what we do, and educate you in some of the ways to make life better. If you are looking for a cure to your problems, Treatment isn't the solution. There is no cure. Treat meant is, however, the absolute best place to go to START working on yourself. I owe FRC and the staff that work there my life, Leslie and Tim particularly. Thank you for everything.

Not my facility, either. However, Great program, better efficacy than most competitors. Typically, depending on severity for addiction to opiates/opioid, extreme alcoholism and diazepam a monitored detox is given and usually lasts less than two weeks, whereas the therapy at FRC is often 90 days, more or less. Not inexpensive and addiction is often a matter of life or death so the expense is imminently justifiable, ay?
