I have used them for both daycare and boarding. They are always great to deal with. The staff is always friendly and answer any questions! Their online scheduling is phenomenal and communication from the staff in general, but mostly when my dog is there is great! My dog is sweet but is still a puppy and rambunctious and they handle him well and help get his energy out! He comes home from both daycare and boarding and just naps, but is always so excited to go back! He loves it! Thank you for all you and your staff do! My only critique is when boarding, i wish there were other options for pick up on holidays other than being charged the equivalent to an additional stay to pick up your pets early in the morning. I understand Holidays are busy and also understand being "closed" on big holidays, but Labor Day and smaller holidays like that, where almost all businessss are open, I don't understand an additional charge to get my dog. Perhaps a small 30 min- 1 hour window to pick up without a fee, at the time you normally open just for boarding pick up for those of us that got delayed or got in too late to pick up the day before? I very rarely board over a holiday, this was a strange circumstance for me, but would be nice to have an option other than automatic large charges for holidays to pick up my dog, other than the big ones such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. Again, K9 Kampus is wonderful and the holiday boarding, although frustrating, isn't a deal breaker for us.

My dog was there for the 1st time for only 20 mins. Before they called me and told me to pick up my dog that he was injured. When I picked him up, no owner greeted me, no one told me what happened. I was just directed to my dog which was in a pen by himself with a deep laceration down his thigh. He required 10 sutures. The next day i called and spoke to owner and requested to see the videos. It was obvious the dogs were havinng a great time, but one of the dogs in the video needed their nails trimmed, but the owner couldn't say for definate which one. I signed a waiver stating that I had to make sure my pets nails were trimmed, which they were. I followed the rules, but It cost me $600 for the emergency vet visit. This was a financial burden so I asked to be refunded something, even the daily fee i paid and the owner said no, they are not responsible and that the money would be sitting in my account to use later. I will never use it. I would not bring my dog there again!

Are small dogs separated from the large dogs ?

Hi Ken, The short answer is yes. The more detailed answer is, the dogs in our care are separated into different groups based upon: size, play level and parent request. On any given day we may haven anywhere from 2 to 10 different groups throughout the day. Each day is different and therefore the groups are different each day too.

Do you mix big with small dogs or do you restrict to size?

All dogs must participate in a Temperament evaluation which will determine the best group for them to be in. In general we separate by size and then play style, so we may have multiple small groups and multiple big dog groups during the day. Mr. Rogers stated that we put his big pit in with small dogs, but K9 Kampus is unable to accept full bred pit bulls in the facility because of insurance restrictions and a 9 month old pit bull would be too large to put in a small dog play group. We suggest you you come in for a tour and view the facility and the play groups.
