Dear Hannah, we are appraisers only and do not buy or sell any gemstones or jewelry, however, if you have some to sell we can appraise them for you to tell you what would be a fair price for someone to pay for them.
We are very sorry for your loss and are here to help you with valuing the jewelry from your parents estate. Our appraiser is independent and does not buy or sell any jewelry so he can tell you what would be a fair offer no matter where you sell it. If the jewelry is all gold and does not have any gemstones or diamonds, they can be divided by karatage, weighed and given a Fair Market value if you want to sell them. This process would probably take about an hour (more or less) and the fee for a verbal evaluation would be about $60 with a minimum of $30 for a half an hour. If any of the items have gemstones/diamonds, they take longer for an evaluation. If you need written appraisals the fees are per item or we can do an estate listing if you require documents for the estate. You would need to call our office for an appointment at 727-725-4029. This is an estimate only and may change at the time the items are presented.
