Very nice welcome/visitors center, lots of interesting information about Hot Springs and Madison County. Hot Springs is a beautiful little town, but if you don't drink alcoholic beverages and/or don't want to be around it do not come here. There are several taverns and restaurants that cater to alcohol. Not really much family friendly things to do in the town either.

Hot Springs welcomes strangers with great hospitality. The center offers local information, public bathrooms, wifi, and a place to sit and relax awhile. The staff prove particularly knowledgeable and friendly. Its a great treasure to orient yourself in maximizing your visit.

Steven King would be proud 😂 of the Welcome Center. The service is first rate. My family will be back 🏠.

Staff is very friendly and know so much about Hot Springs and the surrounding area. Our shuttle to the trail was late and they called our driver for us because they knew him personally! The small town atmosphere is really great.

Hot Springs, NC is a small mountain town at the junction of the French Broad River and Appalachian Trail, and is surrounded by thousands of acres of the Pisgah National Forest. Outdoor activities are popular such as rafting. hiking and biking. There are fun shops, restaurants and a brewery downtown. And of course, hot mineral soaks and massage at the Hot Springs Resort and Spa. Find things to do at www.hotspringsnc.org
Hi Gina, Hot Springs is located about an hour Northwest of Asheville, NC. It is probably about a 7 hour drive from those areas. There is a place called the Hot Springs Resort and Spa where you may reserve a private soak in hot mineral water. See their website for details- www.nchotsprings.com
Hi Lori I think that arriving at 1am will be too late to stay at the Hot Springs Resort & Spa Campground, unless you call them beforehand to confirm a reservation at 828-622-7676 Although overnight camping is not permitted in our Public Parking Lot, it may be ok to park there for just a few hours. It is located behind the Community Center on Andrews Ave N. There is also a Forest Service/ Appalachian Trail trailhead on Serpentine Ave that may accomodate a small RV. Safe travels!
They have rooms and suites with hot spings tubs in them. Contact the hot springs resort and spa . Also you can look at there web page and see what you like to reserve
