Neat concept. Kind of a co-opish membership place with something for most. Has a variety of activities and classes where kids are given "stuff and a screwdriver" and encouraged to take things apart and lean how they work. Lots of old electronics they can play with or scavenge parts. wood working, sewing, shop, 3d printing, electronics, modeling, etc. If you can't find something interesting, you're not trying hard enough. Went in with a friend who's a member for a little tour. No "store hours". They aren't in the business to sell you anything. Just a group of similarly minded individuals. Have to be there with a member or for scheduled community activities.

What an awesome place to excite the imagination and realize the ideas of the curious, the tinkerer, the inventor, the entrepreneur!

Everything a geek needs. They have tools and classes for all ages. Whether you're into electrical engineering, wood working, metal work, or even sewing this is the place to be.

WOW! I visited this space with friends who belong. I was so very impressed with how clean, organized, well supplied, etc. it was. So much space and so many options of equipment, classes, ideas. If I lived nearby I would certainly check out becoming a member.

Questions & Answers

Do you guys have equipment that can help me flatten a 2x2 foot wooden slab?

Not at this time, no.

I'm interested in 3-d bio-printing and planning on taking a course at MIT in the area to get certified. I wanted to know could I come to this facility just to get my feet wet in 3-d printing and learn as much as possible?

Yes they do have a large woodshop. Membership rates are available online, but currently start at $50 monthly or $500 yearly for basic membership. You can tour the facilities on open make nights, which happen most Tuesdays. Check the calendar on the website for more information.

The best way to answer that question is to show up for an open hack night. The short answer is they make stuff. 3d printers, laser cutter, wood shop, machine shop, electronics etc.
