Would give zero stars if I could! Greedy company that continues to raise their rates for no reason! I don't know how they are reading our meters when I have NEVER seen someone check the meters. Yet they come out no problem to turn your water off if you are late on a bill. This company should be ashamed of how they treat their customers. Worst part is customers like myself have no choice but to use Sunshine water because we are bottle necked into that company or no water at all!

I was billed for 432,616 gallons of water on my June bill which escalated over a 3 month period from the usual 5 to 10 K gallons to 432,616 gallons which is a $2,041 bill. I have a 3 person household with no pool and sprinklers running less than twice per week at 20 minutes. I have been fighting this bill since june 7, 2022. They have to date sent 3 different technicians to my home. The first technician changed the meter and told me that I was definitely owed a credit. After a few days of not seeing the credit I called and was told that the technician who said that I was owed a credit needed to be retrained because that was not true and that even though my meter was replaced it had nothing to do with the extremely high bill but rather failed a low flow test. The irrigation audit technician came out to test if the sprinklers caused the issue which was not the case and he did confirm he had no idea where the water went as there was not way that much water came through my home. I have 6 bills before this one that read the meter and had bills under $200 per month and every bill after June so far has been correct yet they say there is a leak or broken pipe. The last tech that came out gave us a print out that shows the billing dept estimated the June bill where as the other correct bills were read by the meter. To date I have no bill adjustment and is still seeking answers. I have never had or seen a water bill this high in my life and I expect answers from the billing department or I will pursue legal action.

I'd give half a star also. Since the name change I've been getting over due notices. Bill due on the 13th, money taken from my account on the 12th and overdue notice printed on the 19th. 7 days after they received the money. Called and asked what was going on with the billing dept b/c this is the second time in like 3 months I've had to call. Canned response is " your account has been updated so it's good now ". But why is this happening? 7 days after you had the money? " I don't know, but it's all good now. " I guess this was a dismissal and I wasn't going to get an answer or an apology so I just gave up. FYI It's not "all good" when I have to keep calling.

We do not sell shower-heads but the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has great information on high efficiency shower heads on their website https://www.epa.gov/watersense/showerheads Thanks for your question. Please check out our website at www.myuiflorida.com or on Twitter or FB (MyUIFlorida) for more information.
Thank you for asking Mr. Lloyd. No, pressure washing companies are not permitted to tap into the water supply. Doing so can create service problems for other customers not to mention tying up a hydrant which may become necessary in the event of a fire.
We are aware of an issue with our system. We are working with our vendor to get this resolved. We are sorry for the inconvenience!
The easiest way is to visit www.myuiflorida.com and use our MyUtilityConnect portal. This will allow you to get old bills, see previous usage, and even pay your bill right there.
Thank you for your question Noah! Rates are determined by a multitude of factors including the amount of capital investment required to maintain the system. In this case the approximately 1% increase to all UIF customers is strictly related to increased costs of chemicals, electricity to our facilities, and local taxes. Remember, our rates are strictly monitored by the Florida Public Service Commission. More information on the Index and Passthrough mechanism can be found here http://www.psc.state.fl.us/Files/PDF/Publications/Consumer/Brochure/WaterPriceIndexBrochure.pdf
Payment should be made to Utilities, Inc. of Florida. I'm not sure why your bank changed the payment processing but you may need to contact them to address this issue. Thank you for reaching out!
