A bad day on the water is still better than a good day at work! Mate Brandon and Captain Joe had a lot on their hands with a bunch of seasick little kids. They kept their cool and were gracious. We caught enough grunts for fish tacos, saw dolphins, and enjoyed the trip. DON'T BRING BANANAS!!

I fished with Capt. Joe on Saturday April 2. He made an announcement at the dock that the weather might get bad and we may have to come in early. He said he would give a 100% refund if anyone wanted to not go out fishing. NO ONE got off the boat! We got out to the fishing grounds and within 20 minutes the wind picked up and the waves got big. The storm had come in much earlier than predicted by the Weather Apps and reports. The Capt made a safety decision and decided to head back in to shore, I agreed that the conditions warranted that decision. Once we got back to shore Capt Joe offered everyone a discount coupon for a future trip, which he DID NOT have to do. Unfortunately, he can’t predict the exact weather and can only base his decisions from the reports and the fishing weather Apps that he uses. Obviously based on some negative reviews he cancels trips due to bad weather as needed, I don’t believe he would intentionally take anyone fishing if he knew the weather would be bad and he’d have to return earlier than scheduled. This is how he makes his living, no reasonable person would jeopardize their business reputation by making unsafe decisions. I feel that some negative reviews here are unfair and blame him for things that he can not control. I was disappointed too that we came in early but these are the risks that come with fishing and other outdoor/water activities. Capt Joe was kind enough to offer us a discount even after giving us all the opportunity for a full refund before we left the dock! At no time did I feel unsafe or cheated on that trip!

So where do I begin. First of all I just called to try and talk to the captain and he just hung up on me. Second of all they were very unprofessional from the time of booking until the time they dropped us back off on land. We knew weather was going to be a potential factor on the trip, but they said it would be fine to go out. We fished for maybe ten minutes, when the weather picked up and went back to shore. We payed for a 5 hour trip and fished for 10 minutes. I tried to see if we could get a discount at the rate of paying for the fuel, but the people at the ticket window were clueless and the captain was too angry to listen. We gave the mate a tip and all. I'm rating this company a one star because of the lack of professionalism the people at the ticket window had, and the lack of judgement that the captain has. I didn't insult you, I simply asked if there was a way to get a discount on this trip to pay for your fuel. If you were insulted, I'm sorry. I was nothing but nice to the staff at the front window. I was just trying to pay commensurate to the services that were provided to me. Maybe you're confusing me with one of the other parties, because yes some people were rude.. I was not one of them. Also, the lady at the front window told me to call you on Monday, which is when I called.

Wow!! These guys were absolutely amazing!! Highly recommended!! My family and I were so impressed with their customer service...they guided us step by step on how to fish the deep sea. They were so compassionate ( my son got sea sick) and they helped us out so much...these guys definitely deserve a 10 star rating!! If your in St. Pete beach this is a must!.......also it was a great trip to see the dolphins 🐬!
