You may take them to the Sarasota County Landfill, located at 4000 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis. The operating hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm and Saturday, 8am-1:30pm. Please make sure to take something showing your Sarasota County address.

You may take your items to the Sarasota County Landfill located at 4000 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis. The operating hours are Monday -Friday 8am to 4:30pm and Saturday, 8am to 1:30pm. There is a charge of $15.00 for drop-off, up to 240 pounds.

If the microwave will fit in you City of Venice black garbage cart, you may place it in the cart. If it's too large and will not fit, you may contact us and schedule a bulk garbage pickup or you may dispose of it at the Sarasota County Landfill at 4000 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis.

The Solid Waste and Recycling offices are not open to the public. You may visit Public Works administration building at 1350 Ridgewood Avenue and the hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays.
