You can do it online.. Go to www.dmv.ca.gov Choose Drivers licenses. Then Choose Drivers licenses & ID renewals... Then choose Start Drivers license renewal AND go from there. OR You can also do this at the kiosk inside the DMV without an appointment. The Step By Step Instructions are on the screen.. Otherwise you'll have to wait in a long line. I did it in 5 minutes at the kiosk.
In some case I have seen where the new owner of the truck dont worry cause the police dept or the city will go after the person who got the ticket . Unless DMV will tell u to get resolve then you go after the previous owner of the truck
