I happen to work at Matt Slap and the price varies depends on the age of the battery in your vehicle and the mileage/age of the vehicle. Some batteries are prorated within a certain time period or covered under warranty. Best thing you can do is call the service department and talk to an advisor or swing by for a quick battery test and they'll be able to give you a lot more information. Hope this helps!
Yes, that's true. My understanding is that due to the shortage of available vehicles, they do not have them to spare. They were providing shuttle service. Cannot blame them.

I'm sry , i have no idea. This is my first outback suburu. That I just bought. I wish I could answer. I would contact the service center or wherever you can buy additional parts. Best wishes and good luck! I love the crosstreks. That's what I kinda really wanted..
