The majesty of the Redwoods is unparalleled. Close to the filming location of the iconic Star Wars scene, this gem of a campground feels secluded. Site 14 has a clear view of the Van Dusen River. The camp host and ranger at this campground were amazing as well. Showers are warm, but I suggest bringing extra quarters.

Quaint and beautiful area. Very cool trails and river with bridge. The sites are nice. Looks like site 20 might be the best. The only downside is that it's right next to the road, but it's only the few loud motorcycles that really make it bad.

Beautiful park, but too close to the highway for my comfort level with toddlers. We did however love the river just a short walk away! Wish we could have enjoyed the swimming hole but it was too cold! We loved the tall trees and the …

Cool, small camp spot in the redwoods. Abuts to a beautiful shallow creek. Limited camp sites which may not all have great parking options. Good amenities including showers, clean restrooms and well-maintained camp sites. I would give 5 …

The only complaint i ever have is having to listen to the traffic going by
I believe there is one on the website. They are also available at the visitors center/ main office.
Yes, It is along Hwy 36. If you pick a site alongside the River, it would be better than closer to the road. Beautiful place. Make your reservation Early and get what you want.
I'm not sure about the campgrounds but I know the hiking path has for the grounds has signs posted no dogs.
$35. You must book online. FYI, they are full this weekend.
No
This year the campground was actually closed until May. This is unusual, and it is important to note that the foot bridge goes in around memorial day and is removed before winter weather and high water sets in.
There's access to the river from the campground. A pamphlet I saw said there was a spot around the river where people have built pools that are big enough to swim in.
I didn't have any with Google fi but there was free WiFi by the visitor center.

I paid $20 a night for a camp site.
Yes. I brought 2 dogs. No charge. They have to be on a leash at all times.
There are a couple self guided hikes with some brochures. Sort of a fun thing to do with the kiddos. You even get a patch for following the clues on the map/brochure.
Get their Phone # from your Google maps app. Might even tell you there how much. Beautiful campgrounds, highly recommend it.
You can only pay 1 night at a time. I was charged $35 a night for tent camping.
Normally, no Snow. This is in the Redwoods, elevation approx. 400 ft above sea level.
