We adopted Colby from Sammies and he was healthy and well taken care of by them when we got him. We are so happy we went to them. Will definitely go back when we’re ready for another cat or dog!

Sorry about your dog! Their website does mention that in kind donations are accepted. You can call 471-5041 from noon to 4 every day except Sunday to check before you drive over.

Yes! I volunteer there, the animals all receive wonderful care and lots of attention. Volunteers walk all the dogs twice a day. It's a NO KILL shelter, all animals find a great home. They are really careful about adopters, quite a process to make sure the families are a good fit. Thank you for saving the pup!
I'm not sure what exactly you mean here, but at Sammie's the kitties get an outside catio for outside play time and sun bathing!

You need to call Sammies and ask. While they are NOT a vet clinic, 2 days a week they caravan animals to Auburn Spay Neuter Clinic for surgery. Usually drop off at Sammies is 7:30 am to 8:30 am. You will need to fill out a simple form and get on schedule.
Bring them in to the shelter or talk to someone there. They are very helpful and will find great homes for the pups.

They do you need to go to somewhere like Auburn Spay and Neuter and have them look at your animal and then they will give you a voucher to be able to help out if you call them they can tell you for sure what you need to do
Give them a call, they have a want list too that you can leave your name and number and what type of animal you're looking for! They'll call you when one comes in! Also check the Grass Valley Animal Shelter, I think they had two rabbits just awhile ago. Don't know the breed though. If you do get one, make sure to keep them super cool in this Summer heat 🐰
