Beautiful Park! Took my nieces to see the animals and then walked the trails to the marina. Every single employee from the center to the marina to the library were so incredibly welcoming and nice! I will be going back again and again! This place is so awesome! Thank you for rescuing and rehabbing such wonderful creatures!

Stark Parks. Great walking trails. Many animals at the center. Some rehabbing, some permanent. The Barn Owl was hit by a car.

We have been checking in on a snapping turtle at the park for the last three days. He is over by the dam and appears to be alive, but not moving. My turtle loving son is very concerned for him. Should the turtle move or is this normal behavior?

Some snapping turtles wait for their prey to come to them but if it is injured DO NOT TOUCH IT they can easily snap your finger off or break your arm because they are seriously agressive but you can call animal controls because they do save injured animals I hope this information is helpful

Hi, I teach at Case Elementary in Akron. Our key concept discusses the interactions humans have with wildlife, both positive and negative causing living things to adapt and react. I was wondering if you offer any programs within the schools?
