Audubon is chiefly about wild birds and birding. They don't have any involvement in domestic or pet birds. Some pet shops sell birds. I would start there.

It is illegal in most states esp CA to move a bird's nest. It takes 1 days to hatch eggs and 35 days for baby mourning doves to be able to fly away. Why not wait a bit to get this done? If you move nest now, the doves will abandon it and babies die. Its only 1.5 months delay for your roof replacement, so please try. So many odds stacked against birds already. Be kind to the birds that chose your house over all others as a safe haven to raise their young. That says a lot about you.
