Shelley of Cavaliers of Healdsburg is a wonderful person and a rare gem of a breeder. My husband and I were hesitant about getting another Cavalier King Charles Spaniel after having an unfortunate experience with a breeder out of the state of California. That said, we love the breed and still wanted another one after losing our beloved Allie. We made a decision to search for a breeder in state and visit them before adopting a dog. We were referred to Shelley at Cavaliers of Healdsburg by a resident of Healdsburg while visiting the area for our anniversary. I later reached out to Shelley and asked to be added to her waiting list. The following year my husband and I were back in Healdsburg and I reached out to Shelley about visiting her at her home. We met Shelley and the pack in her home and it was evident that all of her dogs are well cared for, socialized and part of her family. Fast forward to August 2022, my older daughter and I flew up to Santa Rosa to pick up our fur baby in Healdsburg. While we were getting regular updates from Shelley after the litter was born we got to meet Mama and Papa and see the rest of the pack again. Shelley also gave me such great advice for getting our home prepared and well stocked for a puppy. Our Winston is such a sweet little fur baby and it’s clear he was so loved and trained in Shelley’s care. I highly recommend Cavaliers of Healdsburg.

We purchased a puppy from Cavaliers of Healdsburg. We have had Cavaliers in the past and know the breed very well. We checked out Shelley and her dogs and were amazed at how the dogs were and are treated. They are family. Treated like family, and there follow up to make sure you and your puppy are doing well. We have been to Cavaliers of Healdsburg 4 times. All four have been great experiences. When we got our puppy, Mikey, we knew he was well treated and taken care of. We're so happy that we found Shelley Anderson/Cavaliers of Healdsburg. She is such a responsible breeder, ensuring that her dogs and their offspring will be healthy and very well loved. Shelley also has high standards for hopeful puppy parents to meet, which is just as important. We had to fill out an application before we visited her home and business to meet her and her beautiful dogs, who were incredibly well-behaved and so sweet. She interviewed us, and we had lots of questions for her, which she answered willingly and knowledgeably. We heard about her Facebook page, and became avid viewers--so much fun to see puppies from birth to two months old! When our puppy was born, we were delighted to have this opportunity, especially during the times of COVID. Shelley's home is filled with happiness--dogs and puppies of all sizes playing and cuddling up with each other--just the opposite of a puppy mill. I know that many of the adult dogs are trained as therapy dogs--the perfect job for this gentle breed. We brought our puppy home in June. She was already crate trained at 8 weeks old, which was so helpful. Shelley is always available for questions and advice--just a phone call or text away. And she checks in with us to see how our puppy is doing. Our puppy is a healthy, happy female who we fell instantly in love with! We highly recommend Cavaliers of Healdsburg!

Our Tommy is gorgeous and weighs 14 lb. now. He is eating well, running well and has been sleeping through the night since is his first night in our home. He has had all the shots. We walk him in the neighborhood where he greets every man, woman, child and dog with his tail wagging. He is our performing character and brings us joy. We have been impressed with the breeder and how she raises the dogs and counseled new buyers. A big thank you to Shelley Anderson for the quality of dogs she raises.
