We are trying to save a beloved family members life. I came all the way across the country to give my beloved family member support and get them into ECT. I called the ECT number last week and got a voicemail. Left a message, no call back. Left another message yesterday, and told them the situation is urgent, again no call back. Called another Sutter general number, they said they will send the ETC team a message, still no call back. Called them again today, left VM, waiting. Planning on driving to the office if they don't call soon. My messages seem like they are going to a black hole. Its beyond unacceptable and dangerous that a team that handles a life saving treatment for severely depressed are completely not available! Real people's lives are on the line! *** To the person who responded you should fix the MASSIVE communication issues, not just get me in contact with someone. The communication there is horrendous.

i was admitted to this hospital two times in 2021. the other patients there made me feel like i belong. the staff on the other hand were disrespectful and were treating us like we were five year olds. sending us to our rooms when one person was being loud and then they would laugh and yell about stuff while we were trying to sleep. a staff yelled at me for saying one single word while someone else was talking. which yes, he wasn’t fully in the wrong, he did say no talking but he could have explained it without yelling and triggering me. they do everything we teens cant do which will seem reasonable to most people but i was tired of them treating us like some crazy people. other than that, some staff were lovely, rooms were nice and the food was good. that’s it.

I was admitted to this facility in November of 2021 as an adolescent. As this was my first time in a mental hospital, I was extremely anxious about my stay. The majority of the staff were kind and welcoming. One staff member in particular, David, made me feel especially comfortable. He allowed me to confide in him about my worries and fears, and gave me advice, as well as a writing assignment to keep me busy during my visit. The therapists and social workers were also very nice. The psychiatrist I met with was Dr. Nobari. I has never talked to a psychiatrist before, I was unsure what to expect. She was very kind to me, and really put in the effort to get to the root of my mental issues. The only thing I did not appreciate is that she did not do the best job of explaining my medications to me. I was told I would be taking a sleeping medication, which I later found out was a low dose antipsychotic. The facility could have been much cleaner in my opinion, on my first night there I actually saw a roach. There is graffiti in the rooms, on the walls and mirrors, some of which was rather triggering, and it could have easily been removed. I did enjoy the groups and group therapy sessions quite a bit, as well as the gym activities. I also enjoyed the outside area, although I wish we could have went outside more often. I was struggling with an eating disorder during my stay, and was placed on meal watch by my second day, which helped me overcome some aspects of the eating disorder. The small amount of food I did eat was pretty good as far as hospital food goes. They offer different options for vegans/vegetarians as well.

Went here mid 2021, doctors are all very inclusive and kind hearted, was scared at times but they were very friendly. Only had a problem with the lack of comfort when my roommate had been sent into an episode, I had comforted her accordingly and it ended well. Definitely a good place, but everything could do better

Yes. If you need help, go. Or go to the nearest emergency room.
Yes you can go anytime you can go now so they can evaluate you.
SCP has an inpatient unit for young kids, but no outpatient treatment for kiddos under 13. Inpatient can diagnose and provide treatment if in crisis, otherwise I'd try Yellow Brick Road Counseling (or another community-based outpatient counseling center)
They except walk-ins.
No
If they have private insurance, Sutter will do an assessment to determine if they need to be admitted. If they have Medi-Cal or a government sponsored insurance and they are suicidal, take them to Heritage Hospital (Psych Hospital)in South Sacramento or off Auburn Blvd in North Sacramento. They also take in suicidal patients. Kaiser is also pretty good about taking in suicidal patients and putting them in an appropriate psychiatric hospital. If nothing else works, check out Sacramento County's Mental Health Urgent Care Clinic on Stockton Blvd. They stay open late and will find the level of care needed. I wish you the best!
The person has to tell you. Otherwise its a violation of privacy practices.
No. They will give you a patch.
The same day. Please contact the main number to find out what the visiting hours are for the unit she's on. Hope this helps.
It depends on the age of the person you are visiting. Weekdays and weekends are also different hours.
You can drop them off with security or the front desk if needed.
Clothes can be brought in no strings phones are not allowed shoes are not allowed to be worne unless they go outside
I'm pretty sure they are different for children and adults. Just give them a call and they can tell you.
