Very nice stop. Kids loved the flowers and the climbing rocks. Just be wary of the 4 - legged con-artist. Cute and timid dog looks abandoned, but lives across the border and come to the rest stop to beg.

Very well maintained with a nice vending area and welcome center. Bathrooms very clean and well stocked with changing stations. And plenty of toilets.

Possibly the best rest area I've seen in terms of layout and decor. You can find EVERY AND ANY PAMPHLET IN THE STATE THERE!! Plenty of space to picnic but no real kid space.

A little crazy busy! Drivers are not respecting the non parking areas!! Not enough truck lanes, they were parked everywhere. Next section, cars with trailers or RVs also too small. Cars are last level next to the welcome center. People need to obey the direction arrows!!! Nice shaded area, clean.

Yes they are
Yes, most of the NC rest areas and welcome centers have drinking fountains and vending machines that have bottled water along with other choices. Real water on tap unlike some states.
