goated bike shop, give jay a raise, make his pay $1,000+, jay always knows what to do and definitely never has a attitude, he doesnt like a kid with a blue beanie tho, idk why, i hope he stubs his toe, the person making this review definitely isnt a kid with a blue beanie and a white and red throne 29 with 0 problems (not to flex) #GIVEJAYaRAISE

I went in to the shop today and the bike guy jay was very fast and knew exactly what was wrong with my rim..i have brain damage and its very hard for me to see what others see so simple..i was very happy that it was 10 dollars for a rim and if i crash again i will go back...

I love my (new to me) bike 🥺 👉👈 she is so cute and perfect. The owner of this shop is a really good guy and gives kids from the neighborhood a safe place to hang out and learn about bikes if they want. Please support this local business!

Hey Daniel, We can do so many bike repairs, unfortunately spokes are not one of them because of the time commitment involved. Sorry. For your other bike repair needs we do lend out tools for use on-site, free of charge to members of Bike Bakersfield; all you need is proof of membership. If you are not a member we ask for a $2/hr donation. We offer bike stands, air pumps, tools, and a helping hand!
Bike Bakersfield can when they are open. If you can't wait tell then I would suggest RiverBend bikes. Hes always helped me out on the spot and dorsnt charge an arm and a leg.
Hey there! We have closed the bike kitchen for the month of October for cleaning and maintenance. We are still doing outreach, education and community rides for October. We're very sorry for the inconvenience.
Idk sorry
And
We don't purchase bikes unfortunately, and would be unable to evaluate the worth. I would suggest trying a local bike shop in the area like Snider's Cyclery, Finish Line Bicycles and others.
Yes if you just walk in and tell them you want to sign up for the volunteer program they will sign you up right away and you can start right away and work 10 hours and then you get to build your bike and you can break up the hours in however many days at you'd like
Yes, any bike is welcomed as a donation. If it can be fixed, it will be, if not, it will used for part
I think it is possible. You first have to research the type of two seater you would like to build. Some major bike companies may have partially pre-assembled two seaters that can be ordered through bike Bakersfield, you can then come in and put it together at the shop by a prearranged date and time.
Sorry, we do not purchase bikes.
They are NOT a bikshop. Please call them, they will confirm this.
We do have bikes for sale! Stop by the bike kitchen to see what we have in stock.
