Usually, go back and forth from New York to LA and have been to a few family weddings in both cities and haven't seen a venue nicer than Bel-air. Being able to spend the weekend there left me in bliss. If you get a chance to stay I recommend ending the night off with drinks at the Bar.

There are a number of places within the city limits of Los Angeles. Though the Griffith Park observatory trails are probably the best known, closer to the Bel Aire Hotel is Benedict Canyon which offers a number of trails for you to explore.
