New owners have been riding off of the success of the old owners for a while, and I think people are finally starting to notice that. Used to be busy any time of day, any day of the week. Nowadays, always easy to find a table. Never any wait. It’s very clear why: Every employee capable of being nice either quits or gets fired. I had a favorite server there for a while, until she left. Then I found a new favorite, he quit. New favorite again, he was fired. New favorite again, she quit. When you go in now, it’s the same set of grumpy employees who act like it’s a huge inconvenience for them to do the easiest task associated with their job. You can also tell that the new owners use cheaper ingredients. To clarify, the food is still very good, it’s just not what it used to be. My advice? Get takeout. Enjoy the great food without dealing with the not so great service.

When we first walked in a server walked by us twice without even acknowledging us so I saw a gentleman server it looked at him he acknowledged me came right over gave us menus and we sat at his station his name was Juan and gave us the best service when we visit the Palace Diner he will be our only server from now on delightful attentive and overall just a nice person thank you Juan we will be back to see you

Good service but the wait for the food was long. And the forks they tried to give us was dirty had to ask for plastic. The food was good.

Huge portions. Comfort food. Long menu. Loved the roast beef sandwich, and the pancakes were good too.
