The hotel was in a good location with a few restaurants nearby. It was quiet and we didn't have any problem with noise. The outside of the hotel, lobby, pool and other common areas appeared clean and the staff we encountered were nice. They have a Starbucks in the lobby which was nice and convenient. Upon arriving to our room, you could instantly see the floor was dirty. There was some old grass on the ground, random pieces of stuff (food pieces, dirt?) and cat litter over by the desk from the previous guests. It also looked like the floor hadn’t been mopped in awhile because there were obvious dirt smears on the tile that were easily cleaned away by myself. I have young children and didn’t want them walking around on the dirty floor so I went to Walmart nearby and bought a Swiffer and disinfectant spray to sweep and mop the floors myself. I wiped down the counters and other surfaces with disinfecting wipes and when I wiped off the black bathroom counter there were quite a bit of facial shavings from previous guests. There were also dried spots (drinks, food, other?…..) on the night stands and desk. I’m sure the hotel is short staffed like everywhere else, but at $200 a night, I shouldn’t have to clean the room to that extent before my family stays. For the price and my experience, I would probably not stay there again.

Upon arrival, the front staff were not friendly, no welcome, no hello, just asked for my name. Once we were done checking in, i thanked them to no response. This was with the late night staff. That wasn't the worst part of our stay. The rooms were extremely dirty. There were balls of hair on the floor, crumbs on the table and the vent in the bathroom was heavily covered in dust/dirt. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Luckily we were only here for 1 night. This hotel should not have the Hilton Doubletree brand on it.

Don't be fooled by the picture! This place gives MOTEL vibes. I came here on a business trip. Room #1 (413): Water never made it up to the sink. Turn the knob, water poured all over the floor. Room #2 (408): The AC was so loud I couldn't take one business call from the room. OAN, the peep hole was stuffed with tissue. Room #3 (405): Old and outdated like the other rooms, the AC was not as noisy but I turned it off when I had to take business calls so I could hear and be heard! Ridiculous! This place has been patched up enough. The furniture, flooring, lighting - all old rusty and dirty.

I booked two rooms on a weekend the rate was between $150 and $160 for the night. This hotel is located just off the I-290 in Amherst, and thankfully is far enough from the interstate, you cannot really hear much traffic. Our experience with check-in was positive. The staff were helpful and answered any questions we had without issue. On arrival, the exterior and the property generally look nice. Same with the lobby and hallways. It ends there. Our first impression of the rooms is that they are small. There's not much room to move around once you get a family inside with any luggage. The interior of the room was lacklustre to say the least. The laminate floor was dirty, with giant gaps to stub your toes on. The furniture is well used, and abused, and appeared to be hastily wiped down but not cleaned fully. The minifridge was clean, but the freezer inside was full of frost. The coffee maker was dirty and didn't look appealing to use at all. The TV worked, but froze up intermittently, becoming frustrating to deal with. The bathroom is incredibly small, like REALLY small - with a toilet and small shower stall, barely big enough for a grown adult to fit in. Anyone with physical ailments or a larger person would have a tough time making it work. There was hair on the floor of the shower stall, and on the bathroom floor. The corners of the floor, behind the toilet were dirty and full of dust. We booked a room for two adults and two kids, but the room only had two towels. Again, the staff were helpful and arranged to get us more, but was disappointing this wasn't taken care of as part of the booking. The beds themselves were clean, but underneath the beds (yes, there's an underneath the bed at this hotel) were disgusting. Tons of dust and dirt. Both of the two rooms we booked were on the same state of cleanliness. We had no problems with noise, other than hearing the toilet flush periodically from the room above. We checked out the pool area. It was generally clean, but appears that some areas are in need of being freshened up. I've stayed at a number of other Hilton hotels in the past, and have always had a great stay. Unfortunately this one missed the mark completely. I would not return to this hotel again, nor would I recommend it.
