I had booked this play for my daughter’s 6th birthday per her request. We’ve been to this location numerous times and the staff members are usually really polite. I purchased the ultimate package. Paid over $600 for a room, host, pizza, drinks, etc. I called the place several times before booking to make sure everything would be okay. Told them the date (9/5) and time (5pm) of the event. First person I spoke to, asked for me to call back by the end of the day so they can check with management to see if they’re open for the holiday. I called back and she was nice, telling me they’ll be open. I called again before booking to make sure I can bring goody bags and decoratioP erson I spoke to told me I can come early to decorate and goody bags were fine. I get a call 2 days before the event. Getting told they close at 6pm and my party starts at 5pm. I had to reach out to all my guests, asking if they can come sooner, some canceling on me because they had assumed they could get off of work in time to join. Mind you, I paid for the certain amount of people. Ended up just keeping what I paid in FULL for, changing the time to 3pm and just taking a loss. Get to the building around 2:35pm. The girl at the counter with a very dry attitude makes me wait 10 minutes before going into the party room to decorate because I’m only “allowed 15 minutes” before I can enter the room. She was really happy to charge me an extra $59.25 for gratuity. Told her I paid the full amount. She explained gratuity was not included and made sure to get that before anything else. She allows me in, and at exactly 3:05pm she starts bringing pizza in. No guests have arrived yet at this point. No host ever shows up. It was just me and my teenage daughter decorating and trying to set things up before everyone arrived. 4:30pm I get told my guests and I have to leave so they can clean for another party. They close at 6pm! I know we were only allowed in the room for an hour and we were 30mins past our time but considering my last minute time change and then knowing damn well they did not have to clean for another party, they could’ve just allowed us to stay a little longer. We had to rush everyone into the room to sing happy birthday to my daughter and rush everyone out of the room. Some of my guests had to sign waivers for their whole household. Some didn’t. When I asked, I just got a dry answer of “That’s just the rules.” Well make the rules apply to everyone or no one. Later found out that the very rude girl I spoke to in the beginning was named “Chica”. Told the last person I spoke to that my guests were supposed to receive $2 off their next visit and no one got one. Ended up receiving them altogether and having to gather everyone back up to hand out to them. One of the worst experiences I’ve had there and it had to be on my daughter’s birthday where I paid over $600 to get treated less than. To pay for a host that never showed up. But made sure they got their tip.

This is a nice place and pretty big and would give 5 stars but they never answer their phone. This is important because many times they close early for private parties and you won't know until you show up and see the signs posted. If you can't answer your phones, at least have a voice-mail greeting warning pf early closures. Update 8/19/2022 I'm updating to 5 stars because they have made a better effort to post the times they will close for parties and they have also been fixing the place up and fixing the games. We drive out from sacramento to enjoy this place and the drive is worth it.
