Trust your gut. I gave this place a chance despite the bad reviews and gut feeling. I eat Indian Cuisine regularly, so much that I even make dishes at home. So, when I dine at an Indian restaurant I expect authenticity and for it to be BETTER than cooking it myself. Here’s how my experience went. When I first arrived I asked about their lunch buffet and was told they didn’t have one even though it’s advertised on their menu and online. Next I ordered Mango Juice but was told they only served Mango Lasse, although Mango Juice is listed on the menu so I settled for water. I ordered a lunch special made up of dishes I had tried before elsewhere. The taste was below average and nothing was special about it. I left still feeling hungry when usually Indian food satisfies my hunger. If you’ve never had an authentic delicious Indian food experience, you may enjoy this place BUT if you frequent Indian food then you’ll probably be disappointed. The food is ok but overall Indian food is so much better than this place offers.

I had high hopes after a friend spoke highly of the place but I was left disappointed. I reached the place only half an hour before closing time so it was to be expected with some dishes but not all.The tandoori chicken was extremely dry , chilly chicken had too much soy sauce and they didn't bring me the naans I ordered. Overall, not a fun experience

My go-to dish at an Indian restaurant is a Lamb Rogan Josh which I use to benchmark and I wasn't disappointed. As an Englishman, I know my curries and this establishment is probably the tastiest in town, I've tried the majority of them. It's a little further for me to travel than several others but worth it. Saturday night carry out is a given. Staff are friendly and the place is hygienic, which for Knoxville is unusual; I've never been ill which is more than I can say for other places. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

THE WORST BIRYANI I ever had in my life. I am from Hyderabad, India, imagine how many biryanis I might had, but still this is THE WORST OF THE WORST. I ordered one chicken biryani and one veg. biryani for a friend, me, and my friend both were disappointed and god help me, I found green peppers in the biryani and the chicken was terrible. The rice was sticky and overcooked, well, it was not even BASMATI RICE, just look at the picture it's nothing compared to biryani, it might be a combination of chicken pulao and kichdi. I didn't see it in the restaurant otherwise I would have returned it just by looking at it. NO OFFENSE, I NEVER HAD A BIRYANI IN BOMBAY MAYBE FOR PEOPLE FROM BOMBAY THIS IS THE BIRYANI.

I last visited 10/18 and the lunch buffet was not open.
Buffet ends at 3pm. When they reopen in the evening, it is menu only.
