We don’t live far from this resort, and booked the last RV campsite at the last minute. There were things we appreciated about this campground. The bathrooms & showers were clean. The RV sites had full hook up (including sewer.) We enjoyed hearing the river and the train that flank each side of the campground at night. There were things we weren’t as happy about. Absolutely no privacy at all. It is more like camping in a cultivated park, not like camping in the “woods.” The kids were painfully loud. Obnoxiously screaming, singing, tossing each other around in a hammock. We have four kids (grown now) and these kids were just being kids… but because they were only 10 yards away, with literally nothing between us, it was definitely not the peaceful experience we were hoping for. While we were sitting by our campfire it was pretty clear that this place is filled with people who have come together to socialize. Which is awesome if that’s what you are going camping for. We go camping to unplug, enjoy nature and a quiet peace. So, this isn’t the place for us but it doesn’t make it bad - it’s just not what we are looking for. I am surprised that the building up front was closed - abandoned looking. When it should be filled with camping gear, ice, ice cream, stickers, candy, kids treats, fishing gear, rafts/tubes etc… they would kill it! The resort seems somewhat run down for the money they are charging and missing leadership. Hopefully they get it together - looks like there is a lot of money people want to spend there.

We love this campground! Right by the river, spacious lots, close to town and friendly staff. Don’t miss a hot mineral spa experience at the resort as well!

This would have gotten fewer stars if the staff had not been so great. During the winter months they shut off the water to the "comfort stations" which can be better read as the bathrooms and showers for the camping areas. I saw that on the website and knew it going in. What they did not point out was that they also turn off the water spigots at the "deluxe" campsites, which are labeled as deluxe because they have electricity and water... They had a couple of portable toilets at the far end of the camping areas but the only place to get water out to use a regular toilet is all the way at the front of the camp grounds. If you are a camper, then the showers there are off limits to you as well, which is not mentioned online. After the first miserable night, I spoke with the staff and we were able to move to a cabin, which had a shower and bathroom in it anyway, so they would not have a need for the shower facility anyway...

Very cute camp ground! We loved it! We stayed in cabin 7. It has pretty comfortable beds, was clean and has a bathroom with a potty and sink. Everyone that works there is very kind and helpful. We will definitely be back. The mineral soak is wonderful! Definitely call a few weeks in advance to book your appointment for the bath.

It's right on the French Broad...you can float till heart content...
Yes, you have a choice. Primitive no electric?, shared water source usually. Or electric and water.
Yes there is we've been there several times with a 32 ft motorhome very easily accessible. And right along the French broad River
Yes, you can. Some times we stay, sometimes we just get a massage, enjoy a tub, then head back home
According to their website thr price for riverside campsites is $35 per night for primitive and $45 per night for electric. It is a great place to stay.
Yes it is. It's very nice! Hot all the time. I think, it's best in the winter.
Yes
They say there is a swimming hole. We just used the hot tubs and the hiking trails. Great time and town
In the past, we have hosted many family reunions, group get togethers, weddings and the like, but I think some of our policies may have changed since the covid shutdown. I would suggest for you to contact the spa, illustrate your request to them, and see where it goes! Good luck!
Yes, but please be mindful of your neighbors.
$35 for tent camping with electric and water. Water may be off. We went in February or March last year and they had the park winterized. We had to complain to get them to turn it on. Nice, relaxing place.
Go to the resort office. It may be best to call ahead and reserve a hot tub, as they go fast. They charge per tub, per hour, not per person. It's between $45 - $60 hourly, depending on time of day and location of tub.
I would still recommend giving them a call and making a reservation. Beautiful place for a pretty weekend.
The cabins are bare, no pillows or towels, and fire wood can be purchased nearby
At the campground: technically yes, BUT it's *highly unreliable*. Also, unless you have Verizon, then you have no cell phone, no phone-Internet. In a pinch, you can drop by the library and connect with their WiFi, but WiFi-calling is *very unsatisfactory*. I give them a little donation to help show my appreciation. We were at the campground for the Wild Goose Festival in July AND as volunteer staff we desperately needed Internet, and the camp could only provide it for a few hours the first day of setup; we had none for the rest of our time them. T-Mobile is absolutely useless there (and has been for years). Hope this helps!
35 to 50 a night with water n electricity .very relaxing place .and cabin are 35 to 65 a night i think 65 are With kitchen n bathroom .
Campground yes. Town no.
Matt , up on Laurel runs a guide service at the Laurel Store. Get good coffee while you're there. Right on #25 between Marshal and Hot Springs.
